Abstract

Learning materials are a crucial component of the learning process, serving as a tool to assist teachers in delivering material and facilitate students' understanding of learning concepts. Systematic development of learning materials tailored to student needs is a crucial factor in increasing learning effectiveness. This study aims to describe the steps in developing learning materials that educators can use to create higher-quality learning. The method used in this study was library research, reviewing various literature, books, scientific journals, and documents related to the development of learning materials. The results indicate that the development of learning materials involves several stages: needs analysis, formulation of learning objectives, preparation of materials, selection of methods and media, development of learning materials, expert validation, field trials, product revision, and implementation and evaluation. Each stage plays a crucial role in ensuring that the developed learning materials align with student characteristics and the desired learning objectives. By following these steps, the resulting learning materials can improve learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and student learning outcomes.
