Hubungan Pemahaman Konsep Bhineka Tunggal Ika dan Motivasi Bekerja Sama Terhadap Hasil Praktik pada Materi Gotong Royong di Kelas XII SMAN 1 Jasinga

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the understanding of the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) concept (X1) and the motivation to cooperate (X2) regarding practical performance outcomes in the gotong royong (mutual cooperation) unit (Y) among Grade XII students at SMAN 1 Jasinga. A quantitative research method with a correlational design was employed. Data collection utilized a non-test instrument for the conceptual understanding variable and a structured Likert-scale questionnaire for the cooperation motivation variable, while practical performance data were obtained through an objective performance assessment instrument. The study sample consisted of 83 Grade XII students selected using a quantitative sampling technique. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Product Moment correlation test and multiple linear regression analysis. Partial correlation analysis results indicated that neither the understanding of the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika concept nor the motivation to cooperate—when considered individually—showed a statistically significant positive relationship with the students' gotong royong practical performance outcomes. However, when the two variables were tested simultaneously, the analysis revealed that the combination of an understanding of national values ​​and strong social motivation played a functional role in optimally determining the students' performance scores or practical outcomes in gotong royong. Statistical calculations confirmed a simultaneous relationship between the understanding of the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika concept and the motivation to cooperate regarding practical performance outcomes in the gotong royong unit among Grade XII students at SMAN 1 Jasinga. Regression analysis yielded an F-value of 3.101 with a significance level of 0.050. Additionally, a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.268 was obtained, indicating a low level of correlation. The coefficient of determination value of 0.072 indicates that the understanding of the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika concept and the motivation to cooperate jointly contribute 7.2% to the practical performance regarding the topic of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), while the remaining 92.8% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study.
