Artificial Intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly and beginning to enter the domain of educational management, including the decision-making processes carried out by madrasah principals. This article aims to conceptually examine how AI can be implemented in the decision-making management of madrasah principals to support the improvement of Islamic education quality, while also identifying supporting and inhibiting factors and their implications for madrasah leadership practice. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, conducted through systematic searching and analysis of journal articles, books, and prior research relevant to AI, Islamic education management, and madrasah principal leadership. The findings indicate that AI implementation can strengthen the functions of planning, organizing, and evaluating education quality through more evidence-based decision making. However, the success of its implementation strongly depends on the principal's digital literacy, the availability of technological infrastructure, institutional policy support, and readiness to integrate AI use with Islamic ethical values. This study formulates a conceptual framework linking principal readiness, AI implementation in managerial functions, contextual factors, and Islamic education quality outcomes, serving as a theoretical foundation for further field research.
