This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to unemployment among graduates of Private Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIS) and formulate solutions from the perspective of Islamic Education Economics. It employs a qualitative approach using library research and descriptive-analytical methods. Data were obtained from scholarly articles, official reports, policy documents, tracer studies, and academic publications related to employability, education-job mismatch, quality assurance in Islamic higher education, and graduates’ transition to employment. The findings indicate that graduate unemployment in PTKIS is a structural and multidimensional problem characterized by unequal employability, mismatch between education and occupation, weak labor-market bridging competencies, and insufficient career services, tracer studies, internship programs, industry partnerships, and entrepreneurship education. PTKIS graduates generally possess strong integrity, ethical values, and Islamic foundations; however, they still face limitations in foreign-language proficiency, professional communication, digital literacy, practical experience, and career networks. From the perspective of Islamic Education Economics, this condition reflects the limited conversion of human capital and moral capital into economic productivity and social benefit. Proposed solutions include curriculum reform, stronger career centers, work-based learning, professional certification, industry collaboration, and project-based halal entrepreneurship development.
